This is me with Annie and her daughter Meilia.  Annie is my right-hand woman in Bali, where all of our garments are made.

It has been over 10 years since I started working with Annie.  She oversees all of our manufacturing from her home workshop in Denpasar, Bali's capital, where she manages a team of people who sample, cut, stitch, check, and pack our clothing. 

The sequins are hand-stitched in a rural village in North Bali, near Annie's family home.  Her friend of 16 years, Mariati, manages this part of the process, which involves almost 200 women.  I love it that we have so many women involved in the making of our clothes!  Every year I travel to Bali to work closely with Annie and her team.  Watch the film below for a behind-the-scenes look.
